It seems forevery one that it takes a long time before the doctors can say what it is ,,the doctor has to rule out lots of other things it could be before he can say what it is ,,its sounds as if it could be fibro but im not a doctor ,the best place to start is whith your doctor and get the ball rolling . Good evening, the symptoms you have mentioned could be caused by many things not just fibromyalgia. It would be a good idea to talk to your doctor they may wish to run some blood tests. May I ask how old you are.

Hi bunnay86

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. It may help speed things up for you if you ask your GP for a referral to a Rheumatologist, as most folk get diagnosed by them.

I have pasted for you below a link to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with getting a diagnosis one way or the other and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Has your doctor tested your thyroid function and checked your levels of B12, ferritin and folate and VitD? These can all cause the symptoms you are describing. Certainly poor balance and severe aches and pains can be fibromyalgia, but they just might be something else.
