Winter

I hate this time of year. SAD kicks in. Arthritis gets worse. The stress and anxiety over Christmas. Not at favourite. My loving, compassionate, thoughtful husband surprised me by buying me a SAD lamp. I must say I was sceptical, but it's beginning To help with the winter blues. Beurer from Amazon. 🎅

Got to say I agree.

I always used to like Autumn but these days I find from Halloween through bonfire night right on till Christmas is my least favourite time of year. Yes it can get more wintry January and February but at least the nights are starting to get shorter and spring is on it's way. It's like turning a corner at new year.

It's all the build up and stress around Christmas that I really don't like and just can't cope with these days.

Ba humbug!

Hope you carry on getting some relief from your lamp.

Gentle hugs, Margaret. xxx 🤗🤗🤗

I've done all my Xmas shopping, Just the food for boxing day and pudding for xmas day. We're going to mom's this year. Less stressful. I try spread the pressie buying throughout the year and I try to stick to a budget. Makes things a bit easier.

Hi St_Bridie Oh tell me about it, I always want to just hibernate, stay in bed with my heat blanket. Its funny you should mention the Lamp because I was telling my friend about them only yesterday and she was going to look into it. She has serious manic depression at the moment and hasn't left her flat for nearly a year and I suggested maybe a lamp would possibly help. So you have reminded me, so I'm going to check it out right now. Do pls. let us know how you get on with it. Sending you some sunshine ;-)

Peace. luv n light

St_Bridie wht a wonderful hubby. I have often thought of buying the OH one as he suffers with depression and gets really low this time if year. I have read so e if the reviews and several people have said they are good but they have a "flicker" this has worried me as he is also an Epileptic. Can you tell me please if that is the case with yours?

I never used to mind this time if year but also now dread it. I would bundle up against the cold and go long, brisk walks and now I can't everything just seems so much effort and the nights are so long. I love going out in my little garden but this weather precludes it. Oh well on that happy note will go and search for my bright pink thermal socks that my loving Oh has bought me.x

This is interesting as I've been watching this item on Amazon, it went up from £38 so I'm just waiting to see if it'll drop in price again! Really good to hear it's helping you. Do you think it'd be too bright and uncomfortable for folk like me who have headaches and are sensitive to light?
