i have been looking for a place to talk about my fibro, and like a lot of you have said, pain is all over my body. it's so hard to talk to people who don't feel the same pain as we do. lately i have been getting a lot of pain in the heels of my feet, i can deal with pain all over my body, but the feet! i can't deal with! can anyone help me in finding a good pair of walking shoe/sneaker?

Firstly, welcome to the best site you could find if you have our friend/fiend Fibro. (I like to say this, and they know it's a bit of fun), our Admin Team will contact you with the official welcome, after they have finished their tea ! (Joking !)

You have probably noticed we all have a collection of 'problems', share comfort, support, ideas, suggestions, love as these are true friends who understand and DON'T judge anything you post. I have made so many friends since joining in June, and you are missed if you don't appear for a few days.

I don't suffer this part to Fibro, and have managed with my GP to get him mainly under control. But there others here that will be able to share and help.

Once again, welcome to Fibroland, Hayesider, going to hide before Admin find me. Yes fun is also allowed on here, it's an important side of coping. Xx

Hi @ memepins

Along with everything else fibro/fiend yes I get the sore heels and sharp horrible sensational pain across the top off feet Unbearable pain.

I've been in Skechers and funny in winter Uggs was about to ask the same question but been in really horrible flare.

Like every thing, good to get a good few ideas and try different styles and find best for every individual need .

Xx

I wear the sketches go walk they have memory foam in session in them and are very comfy and come in different styles and colours. Hope you manage to find something that suits you and your situation, a lot of the time it's trial and error as to what is suitable for yourself.

Hi memepins

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

fmauk.org/

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering with your feet, and I tend to wear very padded shoes with a firm surround to help cut down my pain there. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with this issue, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Welcome indeed.

Skechers may well be an answer. Maybe also try the memory foam or gel insoles or heel inserts. I cant make any promises but anything's worth a try with the hope that one of them will help you.

Welcome to the site! Many great people & a wealth of knowledge to gain! Yes, the pain & the feet thing...I wish I could give you the quick & easy answer, but all I can say is study up on your current level of nutrition and consider high quality nutritional supplements. Try to find your way toward sleep....that's sooooo important. That's when your body tries to heal itself. Be kind too yourself to and expect it from others. You'll need that too ! Wishing you peace & understanding! 🌷
