Hey Bex,
Oh yes I have muscle knots around the neck and shoulder area and some days it kills 😢 I've started using Actipatch which seems to help a bit.
I think that's one aspect I really hate with FM.

Hi yes
I have gentle massage, it hurts but have to go through pain for it to help.

Thankyou everyone xx
Hi Bex1012
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are experiencing this and I sincerely hope that you can find some relief to this issue. When I get this problem I tend to use my TENS Machine as I personally find this the most effective thing for me.
I know many other members like a massage to help alleviate this issue and many also go to Hydrotherapy. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck my friend, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Have you tried Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salts) in the bath? You can also spray the area with Magnesium 'oil' and massage it in. It's not an oil but a solution of Magnesium Sulphate. It's expensive when bought as the spray so I make my own now to fill up the spray bottle using 30% Mg Sulphate and 70% purified water. I bought a 10kg box of Mg Sulphate on Amazon, as it's often sold in small quantities so works out expensive when you need about a cupful in a bath. It's sold in large quantities for gardening.
Hi Bex1012
If you are getting muscle knots this is usually because of Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS) which many people living with Fibro have including myself !
You can find lots of information online about it, unfortunately there is advertising on a link called 'The Complete Guide to Trigger Points & Myofascial Pain (2016)' which I thought might be good to share. However, it should be easy to find it searching in Google
Hope this helps - I believe Myofascial Release Massages can help with these knots

Sassy51 I thought this informatin may be useful to you as I note you experience these knots - just to let you know it is more likely to be MPS than FM.
Yes. I have lots and lots of knots. Massage helps a lot. Diet change seems to help some but from what I read and have been told here, I need to increase my magnesium and b12.
Stretching is also very important for me to remember to do daily.
