purple ppl eater

hi.been having really bad pain in my right arm and shoulder struggling to move my arm .noticed my right breast had gone purple...still on going tests with vascular surgeons.next week testing my blood flow on my arteries...great concerns with it...is it just me?...regards soft hug...azzzze

Doesn't sound good. Might be a good idea to call NHS Direct or go to A&E.

azzzze, it could be a bruise, or possibly a clot. Tissues turn purple because the blood in them has very little oxygen. A bruise has burst blood vessels and when the blood that has leaked out of them has used up it's oxygen, it changes to a darker colour.

So I am NOT a doctor and I do not know what problems there are, or are suspected, or even being considered with your blood vessels. I am just concerned that it might be something more serious than a bruise. Please could I gently suggest you go to the emergency dept. of the hospital also and get it checked just to be on the safe side? It might even be because you are on blood thinning drugs or several other things I might not have even heard of for all I know, but I am concerned over you and it does seem something unusual. At least call NHS Direct. I do hope it does turn out to be nothing for you. Gentle hugs to you too.
