They are working great atm my right arm went heavy due to the pain I couldn't even hold a cup of tea or put biscuits in my mouth I struggle doing it. I used the compression socks on my arms within 15 to 20 min the pain went less and the heaviness went. You should try it out.

Hi Dimplez18

That is absolutely wonderful news my friend, and I am genuinely delighted to read this. Do you take them off when the pain goes or do you have to keep them on? I want to sincerely wish you continued success with these and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

You would know when to take them off. I only take them off for 5 min then put them back on. Once I forgot to wear them and I was stood in the kitchen thinking why my legs hurting and knees getting stiff. Realised I didn't have the socks on.

Thanks for that my friend. I am thinking of talking to my doctor about them as I have Lymphedema and I swell quite badly.

Hi Dimplez18,

During the worst period of RA and Fibro combined, I used to wear leg type support tubes but on my right arm. Without, the elbow to wrist part was agony, but like you, with the support on, the pain almost went completely.

Now, RA is controlled by just Hydroxochloroquine, no methotrexate and no folic acid.

Good to hear. I try to find pain relief without medication even though I might have to spend a little. I rater spend than get illness through medication as this illness is long term and just thinking about taking medication for the rest of my life is givin me heartache. I jus hope I don't get really bad where is need to put to sleep with medication.

Hi Dimplex18,

The more we can cope without and not use medical support, the more that support will be effective later in life. I have cut my medication right down with my GPs support, leaving some drugs not used so I have their power to use later in life. Although 63yrs, I still hope for many more years. We need to think about our future, rather than what can we use now for pain relief.

I am suffering a damaged nerve in my back, start painkillers at 3am, but rather do that than end up immune to stronger (more dangerous) medication. I might have limited years left, but if I can help those younger than me, then what I go through is worth while.

Try to think of your future, rather than your suffering now. Ok, use these high power painkillers while your problem is diagnosed, then try to get off as soon as possible. It's your future you are juggling with.

Support and good luck, contact me I've you want more details.

Hi hidden. I think you understood me wrong. I don't take any medication I use alternative I.e the compression socks or magnesium. Even use heat to relief me from pain. That's what I was saying hoping not to use or depend on medication later in life.
