Hi Virgo, sorry you have been diagnosed with Fibro  😕

Welcome to the site and good to know you. I'm sure you will love it and get lots of support and info to help. We all have a good moan and a laugh and the main thing is, you don't feel alone.

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear your news.

I've just joined this forum and had lots of great support and suggestions from some lovely people.

Just keep going on web sites researching it and going to your Doctor to get help.

If one medication doesn't help, go back and ask for another, there are several different types. I'm afraid I can't remember the name due to what people call fibro fog. NHS web site has some info on and help groups, that's where I got this forum etc from.

Don't give up, just keep going to them and hopefully something will help.

Non of the meds I've tried have helped me yet, but I have glaucoma and that has made it unable for me to try some, I'm also allergic to codine and morphine.

I've noticed some on the forum find codine helpful. I use Volterol cream and am trying hemp oil tablets. Some on the forum use CBD inhaler for hemp. Hemp has some of the chemicals that marijuana has, I think it helps me relax at night a bit better as I don't sleep well. I also listen to audio books, to relax me and stop me from worrying in the lonely night hours.

Good luck, take it slow and easy, it's a long fight, but with support I'm sure you'll be strong and get through it.

Best wishes.

A very warm welcome to you Virgo 1 ....... Enjoy the banter and share anything you need to know..... I remember when my Doctor told me that I had fibromyalgia along with my ostio-arthritis, It was a relief to know the name of this illness and work towards medication to help the symptoms....

Wonderful members that can share your thoughts, what different things to try and help with this condition.

Very best wishes to you...xx
