hi im on dla fibromyalgia for 7 years i tried to get esa but told me i was getting incapacity and they were paying my stamp all i get is 317 a month my partner works full time low income do you not get paid incapacity benefit

For future reference you may well get more replies if you lock your posts in future.

From what I can find out ESA has replaced Incapcity Benefit.

Please see below some (hopefully!) clear instructions on how to lock your posts:

To lock a post when you've finished writing it scroll down to the bottom of the blue box and you'll see on the left hand side two options:

o Everyone

o Community

If you click on the Community option, this will then lock your post.

If you want to lock a post that you have already put up onto the forum, find your post and again scroll to the bottom of the blue box. You'll see a small downward arrow (v). Click on that and you will get an Edit option. Click on edit and then select the Community button as above.

As Lu says, I think ESA has replaced Incapacity Benefit. It may help to book yourself an appointment with a benefits adviser from your local council to ascertain what other benefits you may be entitled to?
