Hello there

I was just wondering how far along the diagnosis process you have got? Fibromyalgia is a very complex conditon which affects all of us in very different ways.

There is no one size fits all way of describing Fibro. Is there a particular question you wanted to ask?

Because so many other illnesses need to be ruled out before a diagnosis can be made I wonder whether it would be an idea to know for sure before learning more.

Wishing you wellness and peace

Hi there,

as Lu has said, Fibromyalgia is a very complex condition. Here is our Mother Site link fmauk.org. Where you can find a wealth of information about Fibro.

I wish you luck in getting a diagnosis, but it may take a while as it is only after ruling out other conditions that a diagnosis of Fibro is given.

GP. 😊

Hi There, well like Painfulpixie said fibromyalgia affects everyone in different ways, my GP told me as I am in the throws of menopausal changes it can affect fibromyalgia because they think fibromyalgia has something to do with the brains messages to the body hormones are a factor. I would have a word with your g.p. About it I don't want to write something that I've heard 2nd. So lots of good wishes to you xx

Hi Scrumpy1975

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I can see that you have been given some wonderful replies and a link to our mother site, FMA UK which is well worth a read.

As PainfulPixie says it affects everybody differently, and can take a while to diagnose.

I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck with getting a diagnosis one way or the other.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hello, I just joined late December last year. I agree with what the others have said too. The main thing I would say is to ask questions, read and gather information online, but it would be unfair to say much about your circumstances since we don't know much. I can tell that you are ahead of the game, just by the mere fact, that you are seeking support during your diagnoses and its long process. That is great...please continuee your OK wn best advocate in your well being and medical care. Best wishes!

Hi, your doctor should be able to shed some light on Fibro. If you still have questions, the internet has qualified sites on Fibromyalgia that you can read up on as well as books that have been written by doctors. Just remember to take anything you read with a grain of salt. We all experience discomfort and pain differently. What may work for one might not for another. This is a good forum that you are on but sometimes you can find support groups in your city that you can attend. I wish you the best.

Take care.
