Hi anto1

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link to our mother site, Fibromyalgia Action UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information: fmauk.org/

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling so much with this, and I sincerely hope that you can get a diagnosis one way or the other. I was wondering if you have discussed how you are feeling with your GP? Fibro is usually diagnosed (but not always) by a Rheumatologist, and so it may prove beneficial to ask your GP for a referral to Rheumatology?

There are plenty of medication options that you could discuss with your GP / Medical Specialist if you chose to? And / or other options include physiotherapy, counselling, CBT or Hydrotherapy. It is just a case of finding what works best for you? I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi ken thank you for getting back to me i have seen a rheumatologist for the past year each visit was a quarterly visit told him about the pains and he didn't seem to have any answers but he did say about the degenerative disc in my spine and gout had my last visit with him last week 3 months ago i gave him a list of things that I experience and he actually asked me what I thought it might be i told him your the consultant. I also have memory loss and forget words lol maybe I'm just loosing it lol. Thanks joe

Hi there sorry to hear your in such a state of confusion and uncertainty . Unfortunately and I do mean that we cant say you have fibro but if this helps I do know one thing. When I was diagnosed it was cause I had all the symptoms of Arthritis epilepsy and many more that gave me wide spread pain and I had the tests that came back negative.

I thought I was mad, going loopy, a hypochondriac, it was a dreadful time for me but I came to realise that it wasn't till all those test were done, they were they able to diagnose me with fibro followed by a visit to the Rheumatologist .

What I would like to say to you though don't rule it out even though you have certified conditions that would cause this pain and don't forget pain causes exhaustion too.

What you could do next visit to the doctor is ask WHY IT ISNT FIBRO, so that you can rest from wonderment that can be equally exhausting. I'm really hoping you find some understanding for yourself . x
