A reAl. insight into our illness when I read it,it made me cry because unless it's written down like this we really don't talk about and acknowledge everything that's wrong with us and although we suffer as we do, we carry on as normal as possible, I went for my B12 injection the other day, practice nurse gave it I said I'll have abit more energy now and she said come on your only 65 , get out and enjoy it you are young,I'm doing a charity run and then the three peaks , I could have slapped her judging me, I then started and told her how fit I was before I had Fibro, she the said Fibro is a nasty thing, but didn't apologise, her throw away remark quite upset me for the rest of the day. I know that I am now through Fibro hypersensitive and should not take things to heart but up moment feel a bit down and unwell. Best wishes x

(((((Poppy))))) I'm so sorry that the nurse was so crass and insensitive, as you say, a throw away remark can be the one which real hurts and upsets us the most. Hoorah for her being able to do the run and then three peaks, maybe you should have pointed out to her that the pain her body will feel that day will be probably be less than yours is on a day to day basis, when I say that I know you nor I would have been able to come up with that off the cuff, but perhaps if you do meet her again you could ask how she got on and point out what mentioned.

In the meantime I'm sending you lots of positive, soothing and healing vibes and hope they may cheer you up a little😊😊😊😊😘

What a shame your nurse wasn't a bit more sensitive. People make these "throwaway" comments and don't realise the hurt they cause. Sorry you're a bit down at the moment. Sending some sympathy and positive vibes your way. MariLiz x😊

On the bad days, I feel that it is never-ending. On the good days, it's a case of oh yeah, fibro, a few starbursts of pain that are quickly forgotten while my mind focuses on things on the "to do" list. 2015 has seen improvements which I hope will last well into and beyond next year!

Very true, it explains it so well. Trouble is we look OK on the outside, no one except another person who has it really understands.
