Support groups

Hi does anyone know if there is a support group in west Cumbria? I don't know of anyone else having fibro and feel isolated GP not much help

Seperate thought - there is no support group in Edinburgh!!

There is an email address, but no group as such.

No, there is no support group in Edinburgh at present registered as working with FMA UK.

Hi Jay-21, I have heard there is an M.E. support group in Maryport,not sure if it is also for Fibro sufferers. I live in Whitehaven diagnosed 5 years ago. There is an M.E. clinic once a month at Keswick too.

Thank you all I live in cockermouth I think the Maryport one is mainly M.E. I was supposed to have hydrotherapy at the hospital but their pool is broken and haven't heard from them since! Vajra yogis 1 do you get much support from Physio and hospitals in our area?

Why do you not start your own support group in West Cumbria www FMAUK org can help We started a new group in our area It is a bit of work but just think you get the satisfaction of helping others too!

If you want any pointers send me a p.m. Fundraising and awareness we have done in plenty!

As Skit says fma uk can help support the start up of new groups in areas where there is nothing at ptesent.

Often new groups start simply by a few people getting together for coffee and chat.
