Think they normally let you know if you are to go there or will be having a home visit...don't think it is more likely to get a positive result either way..does seem like a lottery sadly too many people are suffering from others who claim when they are not needing too...good luck whatever way you have it

I just want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with your assessment. I have not been through anything of this nature myself but good luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi just read your post,I had my assessment 3 weeks ago at home,I think in some ways it's better to have it at home, they can see where you struggle and need the help, also you don't have the stress of traveling.im lucky the whole claim took 9 weeks.today I got that dreaded brown envelope my husband had to open it and read it to me,I'm very lucky I got both parts of pip low rate.im so happy I can now get the help I need. Good luck to you wherever you have the assessment

Best wishes sweetpee 😀

Great news sweet pea, obviously you have fibro but can I ask if you have other ailments too.....I am expecting to have home assessment as I too have to apply for PIP later this year I have fibro, arthritic spine, asthma, tinnitus and IBS, sleep apnea. Just terrified of the outcome as I had to take early retirement through occupational health and know I cannot work, yet have 3 years before I get my pension and know I couldn't live without my current DLA and ESA payment.

I think if you have the opportunity to have it at home it can be good as it is so much easier to explain and show in your own environment how you struggle. Good luck when it comes around. Let us know how you get on.x

Ao thank you I will get someone to take me ☺

They are doing home visits in some areas and there is a possibility you may need to wait longer for an appointment if you wait longer. At first I really did want one of those people entering my home, though came round to the idea that it would be best for me, I had someone with me. He did not appear to be interested in my home or anything in it. You can have stuff out ready to show him/her, they do not tour around. It's your choice what you are more comfortable with, I just wanted to get it over with. Good luck with your claim.
