When I read the article about fibro and blood vessels in the hands it made sense to me. I always know when I am going to have a really bad bout of pain because my hands swell up and are more painful . Does anyone else suffer from this?

My hands are always swollen, still and they throb all the time.
Hi mongmot
I am so sorry to read that this happens to you, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this problem. I read this article over a year ago and I am not really convinced about it as I am sure the medical community would be bragging that they have found the cause of Fibro? It would also go a long way to finding a cure? But this has not been mentioned by the medical community either?
I will however, discuss this issue with my consultant next time I see them, and post whatever their reply is?
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi
I'm exactly the same, people comment on how swollen my hands are and the same as you, I know I'm going to have a painful day.
I do think there is some sense in that artical but not convinced it is the main cause.
Take care
Yes I always know when I am going to have some kind of a flare as my hands will start to really get stiff and painful. I always have trouble with them but with a flare it seems to be a different type of pain I will sometimes have it in my toes as well.
I do not get swollen hands, but they are painful most of the time, as well as my feet. I wear support gloves quite a lot when I am in my craft room using my computer, and generally keeping them warm by wearing gloves most of the time whilst outside when it is cold helps to soothe them too. I had to have dental treatment under sedation before Xmas and the dentist struggled to get the needle in a vein, and my hand is still really sore - and it is my right one too! With my feet, I wear comfy/supportive shoes/boots - flat of course - and padded socks. No sexy heels!! Ali x
I am not convinced about the veins in the hands. It sounds a bit far fetched, i would be very interested in reading your consultants reply Author. I have had a tendon trigger finger operated on, it has made my hand crippled as it was a botched op, the left hand is doing the same, i will not let anyone touch it's
Yes , I have the same problem with my hands, they swell quite 9 ten during the day. My muscles also twitch far more when I'm going to have a flare.
