Hi Purplemo

I am so sorry to read of the rough time that you are experiencing and I would suggest that you are probably having a flare up right now. A flare up is when your pain / any CFS or ME increases / any other Fibro symptoms your suffer with, and your medications do not work for you.

It would probably be best to discuss this with your GP or Medical Specialist in the hope of obtaining some different medications / new medications to help with your pain. I want to wish you all the best of luck.

Take care

Ken

hi, sorry to hear ur having a flare up. the good news is flare-ups do settle down again. but if it doesn't ur pain management might well need reviewing. also u shd have pain killers u can take when ur pain gets particularly bad phases (flare ups). Maybe talk to ur GP?

also do u use hot water bottles or wheat bags for pain? These can help.

Wet, damp and cold weather can also make pain and stiffness worse.

Hope u feel better soon. Take care, Starbys :-)

Sounds like a flare up to me. It's unpredictable how long or how severe, but we seem to settle into patterns. I deal with it by being ready most of the time and pacing. All my chores are up to date and when one comes on its no great shakes if the washing or hovering doesn't happen for a few days. Just be nice to yourself, yes, heat pads, painkillers, rest, whatever works for you.

I have a dehumidifier in my damp flat but wonder if the dry air helps. It's true low air pressure doesn't help. There's no control over that.

Good luck :)
