Hi I have been diagnosed with fm and each day is different. I feel i am going mad as if I have a ball of pain bouncing around my body and when it stops it hurts there. I just wish pps would understand. I know you all have been here but it feels endless and depressing. I feel if I ask someone who has it if they have felt the same pain in the same place etc I know I am not going mad. Ty for letting me waffle

You are absolutely NOT going mad. Waffling is necessary and required so don't worry, that's why this forum is here! Stay dry and warm tonight and hopefully that'll help a little with your pain. The lap top on my lap has warmed my legs up and my hips might make it through the night without too many painkillers!
Take care.

Hi specialkay
Firstly, welcome to the forum and I genuinely hope that you find it useful, informative and loads of fun! I am so sorry to read that you also have Fibro and that you are struggling with its symptoms and effects. I want to sincerely assure you that you are not going mad at all. Whatever you have suffered or experienced is what all the other members have shared as well.
I will say however, that we are all unique individuals and as a result we all react differently to both our illness and our medications. Once you have been on the forum for a time, I think you will find that you can relate to just about everything that the members write in their posts. One of the most written replies by members is 'you could have been writing about my story!' So, we mostly feel and share the same issues. I want to wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Welcome to the forum and waffle on as much as you like as that is what we are there for. We can all emphathise with your position as when this all starts it is very frightening and the pain can make you feel very alone. It seems to be like that that one day you have intense pain in one place and then the next day it is somewhere else entirely or other days it is just sore and painful all over. We reassured that this is part of the process. Hopefully when you get the correct meds and they have had a chance to work your body will settle down a bit. Try and be gentle with yourself and get as much rest as you can. Let us know how you are getting on and ask any questions you want to as there is normally someone out there who has experienced the same symptoms.x
Aah! Sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with the horrible fibro!... I was diagnosed last year Dec and have been through a roller coaster of emotions and trying to get my meds right!! I have always been an active, fit and healthy person who looked after 3 of my Grandchildren when their Mum went back to work (7 weeks old) and then worked 3 days a week at wilkos! The pain I felt when I had to give up my jobs was heartbreaking and I spiraled into a deep depression! However.....I have now had a course of CBT and got the meds sorted, I am coping (most days) with a change of lifestyle!! I have had to morn the loss of "who I was" and try to deal with things as they are now!! What I'm trying to say is, don't be afraid to rant, scream, cry and vent your emotions! Make sure you have an understanding Dr! and visit us every day!! I don't often write on here but I read it religiously!! There is so much to learn and there are some wonderful, funny, informative people on here! Much love......ninja...xxx
I'm afraid it is a horribly depressing illness so it's very important to express how you feel whenever you can, otherwise the depression and frustration will make the pain even worse.
Be kind to yourself as much as you can.
Love, Mim xxx
