Hi Rosetta2014

I have chronic persistent pelvic (in the bone)pain which is spreading to my groin area and upwards.it is from the time I get up to the time I go to bed and that's the only time it eases(when lying down).walking is very painful and slow and I am unable to walk uphill or climb up onto a stool without aid.most grocery shopping is done online and delivered and like you if I have a day when I feel able to do housework I am totally wiped the next day.

is your pain in the bone or muscles?fibromyalgia affects the muscles and joints not the bone.has your gp told you anything?hope you feel better.take things easy.

My pain is all muscle I have had fibro for 17yrs but I never knew anyone else with it and all of my doctors said the reason I never got better was because I didn't exercise I tried to explain how can I exercise when I can barely move. I also had surgery on my neck and back 16yrs ago for herniated disc and the surgeries failed the fibro gene was turned on when my neck and back was injured. My new pain doctor does research on fibro so he thinks differently he says until you stop the pain nothing is going to work and that why I have insomnia but I'm on a new med (Buprenorphine 8mg sublingual 4 times a day) which is stopping the pain enough so that I can sleep and now I am sleeping and nodding all day so much that I can't drive for any distant or if I am still for more than a couple of minutes I nod out. But my body will adjust after stabilizes.

Hi Rosetta2014

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue. I understand completely on this front, as I suffer with this quite a lot. I have recently been diagnosed with Osteoporosis, and I am now going for an x-ray (as a precautionary matter) as persistent groin pain could indicate hip fractures with Osteoporosis!

When my Fibro plays up in this way, my physio says I should lay on my side (the opposite to the one with pain) and gently roll the upper leg over the lower leg and hold for a count of 10. Doing this very gently several times, and hopefully the pain should ease as time goes on? She tells me it is about moving and stretching the muscles very gently.

I sincerely hope that you can find the answers that you desire and deserve to help alleviate your pain.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken, you are such a caring person to love your wife for better or for worse my husband if also dedicated to me I was injured on my job only 2 years after we were married and fibro started then and because it was a neck and back herniation I was miss managed for 2 years I was never able to return to work from the night it happen. So I understand how hard it is being one who need care and the caregiver. You have our blessing and prayers, and tell your wife she is a very blessed woman to have you.

It has taken me 5 hours to write this I keep falling asleep. and I had an aroma therapy treatment about 3 hours ago and every time she gives me a treatment I get a headache and I never get headaches so we think it causes me to start detoxing immediately. I am eating mostly organic. But I am allowed only 900 cal a day so its not hard to do since I it only takes 4 ozs. to fill me up.

Type at you later Be blessed

Thank you Rosetta2014, that is such an amazing and beautiful thing to say, thank you. My wife (Julie) has Primary Progressive MS, so she is in a wheelchair most of the time, and it really depresses her which I completely understand! She came down suddenly with the illness a few years ago and deteriorated very quickly.

You sound like you have had more than your fair share of problems to contend with? It must have been a terrible accident to have such a life changing affect on your life? I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to all of this?

I cannot imagine only eating 900 calories a day? My Thoracic Consultant has prescribed 10mg of steroids daily (it is what keeps me going) and they make me feel very hungry! Luckily, I am not overweight?

It really does sound like the aroma therapy has an instant impact on you? But if it works for you and helps, then it is worthwhile. And once again, thank you for your kind words. They are appreciated from my very soul.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Good Morning Ken, I have 2 son they are 9 years a part. I was a License Registered Respiratory Therapist for University of Chicago's Mitchell's hospital for 16 years I worked In Emergency and Trauma Units for Pediatrics and Adults for 16 years at the time I had always been a single mother my marriage to my youngest sons father dissolved when he was only 3months old. the marriage lasted 3 years. I was burned out and decided to take a cut in pay and work Respiratory Rehab. after 2 years I was starting to relax I had just gotten married and my youngest son was a year away from graduating when Dec. 13th 1997 at 9:45pm I was helping move a pt from the ICU to a room when my foot got caught and the bed was push on my foot while turning into the room and I literally moved that bed off my foot because they couldn't figure it out. it happen in a flash. I herniated 3 disc in my neck and 2 in my lower back, but I was not given the proper treatment because it happen on the job it was a workmen's compensations case and they said all I had was a strained muscle and to return to work in 5 days. Well I never stopped hurting from that moment and I never returned to work. But my husband never complained.

Thanks Ken
