Mood swings
I think it is a common complaint that you should mention to your GP. I found talking therapy the best help. Not easy to live with.
Fibro effects my moods. Physical illness would make anybody crabby. And then we feel better and all inspired to do stuff and be happy.
But I recommend you talk to your doctor about this. There might be another cause besides the FM. Or there could be meds like mood stabilizers or antidepressants that could help. I agree with doing exercise, meditation, strethcing, yoga, Anything that helps your body and mind relax, but doesn't cause you pain and exhaustion as a result. You have to listen to your body.
I am bipolar, but most people with fibro don't have this diagnosis (as far as I know). But it is worth discussing it with a physician. In my case, it was helpful to keep track of the mood swings so I could answer my doctor's questions about that part of the symptoms.
I feel for you. Mood swings not only harm your self-confidence, but make your loved ones more wary around you, not knowing how you are going to respond to them. With their love and support and your love of yourself, you will make it through this.
Hi csav73
I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing such awful mood swings and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue. There could be a myriad of reasons that you are feeling this way, and I really think that you should discuss this problem with your GP.
I have read that many members have problems with their moods and / or depression, but it does not mean that you have to settle for it or except this is the way things are! Many members go for CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) which can help. There is also the possibility that you are having a side effect from your medication? Another reason to discuss this with your GP?
I sincerely hope that you find the answers that you desire and deserve.
All my hopes and dreams for you

It is worth speaking to your GP, as I know that it's no fun for you or your family. I hope u get the support u need & deserve. Xxx
