About Us
FibroAction is a small national charity committed to supporting people affected by fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a widespread chronic pain condition for which there is no cure and no designated treatment in the UK. Fibromyalgia is a common condition: there are up to 2.7 million, or one in 24 people, fibromyalgia sufferers in the UK.
We are a small national charity run primarily by volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of everything we do.
FIRST VOLUNTEER VACANCY
Volunteer Webmaster needed in the United Kingdom
Volunteer Webmaster Role Description
This role can be based anywhere in the UK, from home, and undertaken when it is convenient to the volunteer.
From a potential candidate we look for:
Good working knowledge of IT
Preferable experience of simple coding e.g. HTML
Meticulous approach and good attention to detail
Easy access to a computer with Internet and Ms Word.

Individual giving and challenge events fundraising Volunteer
Individual Giving and Challenge Events Fundraising Volunteer Role Description
FibroAction is supported mainly by individual donations and supporters who often undertake challenge and other events to raise funds for us. We use Virgin Money Giving and JustGiving platforms where individuals can raise for us. We are recruiting a volunteer who will directly liaise with supporters who raise funds for us, will thank them appropriately, answer their fundraising queries and support them and monitor our fundraising websites.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK, from home, and undertaken when it is convenient to the volunteer.
From Individual Giving and Challenge Events Fundraising Volunteer we look for:
Some experience in fundraising, preferably in individual, events or challenge events fundraising
Friendly approach, good communicator
Good computer skills, including Outlook, Ms Word, basic Excel.
Excellent written communication skills
Good team working skills
Easy access to a computer, Internet and Ms Word and Excel
Good understanding and commitment to data protection principles.
Willingness to learn and increase knowledge in fundraising.
