Oh bless you, I'm so sorry that you've been diagnosed with this nasty condition, but *gentle hugs* you've found the most fabulous fibro community here. There are some great links pinned on the right of the screen, and the purple butterfly at the top right will take you to the mother site, which has loads of great information.

When I was working, I used to photocopy some information about fibro from one of my books, and hand it to them, but I'm sure lots of other people here will give you some great stuff too.

Hi Busdriver, am so sorry your got diagnosed with this illness, go online a check different sites off fibromayglia, this sites is good for talking to people and haveing questions you wanted answered. take photocopies of differedt sites off the illness and try and sit down and talk to your manager or just give it to them and say read this when you get time this is what ive got and am trying to get my headround this myself also give to friends and family because there say there understand but there dont really understand because there are not going through what you are. i worked for 24 yrs to a company and in the end i was retired because i could not longer do my job, before i was ill i would do the windows off my house 3bedrm take next door dog for walk over park, sometimes go swimming at 6.45am and then start work at 8.00am and stay there till 7pm at night (but remember your a number i dont mend to be hard on you. does not matter if your a good working. hope i help so if i seem hard. but i wanted to stay at work but in the ned had to give up. you may be able to carrying on working for a long time yet. some people cant manage pain and also work, see if you manager can put you in the office. good lick

Hello Busdriver if you go onto the mother site, Health unlocked, you will find lots of information that can be down loaded. To get onto it click on the yellow butterfly in the top right hand corner of your screen.

You can also get information from the NHS site that your employer may be more open to accepting. Just type in. NHS fibromyalgia. to get onto that site.

Good luck and hugs sue xx

So sorry to hear of your bad luck. Everyone is different but it effects are terrible. Overtime it gets worse. If you are in a lot of pain you should go to a pain clinic. It may get to the point of not being able to work. I couldn't do it anymore after suffering for years and had to go on disability in 2003. I pray you have a better time of it sweetheart. xxx Mitzi

the best way is to go online as others say you will find loads of info to download and print. the symptoms are to vast to put here. best wises and good luck
