I might actualy watch that ,Iv`e only been once. In the dark so it was a bit hard to see anything
An amazing county almost in itself. I used to sit by the working lighthouse and watch the beam go out
We were camping at golden cap and had had a day out. b in law was driving and decided that was where we were going on the way back to the site, even if it was dark. He wanted to see the lighthouse so thats what we did. in the dark.
Hehehe. First time I went to Golden Cap they were having the annual service in the abandoned church. Love that whole area.
That was daft wasn't it? Watch the beam go out? No wonder you guys think I'm nuts. I meant watch the light shine out over the sea. I knew what I meant
As you pass Portland heights and start descending southwards you go out of mobile signal, I was surprised to get a text "welcome to France"
I used to walk the dogs at Golden Cap nearly very week, then it became too much a working spaniel, working lab and 2 very errant terriers had me both physically and emotionally spent, trying to find lost terriers, then l would lose the other two and it would go like that. I still love the view of it if I drive down into Lyme with Chesil Beach and Portland in the distance
Ooooh what fun. I should have taken Jack more often. He disappeared in a bramble patch on Stonebarrow
Eeeeeeassshhhh I didn't like walking at Stonebarrow as I met an adder sunning itself there once and I am terrified of snakes, so I never went back.. have you ever tone the Branscombe to Beer walk, that's great, once you've climbed the step slope and the you get amazing views right the way down to Star Point. I prefer the Beer to Branscombe as it is a downhill which very oddly I can cope better with
What happened to cream tea???
I only turned around to deal with the kids scrapping................. all sorted now Mr dominant has now got his own house and toys!!!
I was bringing fresh raspberry and strawberry conserves too
I shall give it watch I often do
Scones still warm in the oven sian, and masses of clotted cream, come on by
Wondered where you were? You ok? We had it at the Lobster Pot on Portland Bill.
Kids, eh? Even little cuddly furry ones
Hmph
Well next week I say we meet at 'The L'aaal Ratty' in Eskdale Valley for cream tea
Oh! and Countryfile clashes with something on beeb2
Well I enjoyed that
I have a break now until Musketeers starts at 9
Better feed the kids
We need some more photos.
Father in law lived in Chideock. All around there is such a pretty area. We know it well.Xx
Stay on the A35 and after you have passed Axminster, my cottage is way down in a valley to the right of the road I'm so lucky, I live in a very beautiful place
