Hi Zorago, no I can't stand any loud noise or light I'm also very sensitive to smells, especially perfume smells I can't stand strong aftershave or perfume smells, makes me irritable, cough and nauseous, when any one makes a loud noise and won't stop it's all I can do to stop myself from bopping them one on the nose LOL....not very nice feeling is it, infact this blessed fibro has a lot to answer for doesnt it, I'd like to hit it with a fly swat and kill it LOL , ...just be yourself and let them know exactly how you feel, if smells aggravate you and someone has heavy perfume on them point it out somehow, let them know just what this monster does to us, ....wil be thinking of you, do let u know how you get on...sending you hug and handful of sunshine ...catch... Lol Dee xx

Hi there

I hate certain types of noise as it gives me a migraine. But I was posting you to wish you all the best with your ATOS medical and I sincerely hope that it all works out for you.

Take care

Morning, Yes, huge problem with any kind of noise. Doesn't have to be loud, bothers me a lot. When watching tv I make sure I have the remote to hand and I'm constantly muting and turning up and down. :) Can't go to local coffee shop any more cos of all the background noise. Hey ho. Hope you all have a good day today. x

Hi hope all goes well for you I have one next week let me know how you get on

Love beth

Hi, I'm just sat filling in my form ready for my assessment (well it's taken me over a week so far doing it in bit's and bob's). I found the link that is posted from kittysjones while I was googling for some advice. It helped me a lot. Please read it as it seems the assessment starts even before you arrive!

I had a nice lady the last time 2 years ago, I was going through test for RA at the time and she was very sympathetic. I've since been diagnosed with Fibro amongst other things so I'm really hoping for the same sympathy. I'm going to scan my form so I can re-check what I've wrote. I will go without making any effort (no make-up etc). I wish you lots of luck, please let us know how you get on.......

Anyway in answer to your other question I also find my senses hightened, I find I'm constantly turning down the TV etc, cold and heat now seem extreme and apart from the noise of other people I'm finding thta I just can't be bothered with listening, I know that sounds awful but I just find it so tiring having to concentrate.

Good Luck again xx (sorry that was a bit long winded)

thank you everyone, great support, can only be honest tomorrow, part prob is I had to stop all pain meds 6 mths ago,now under care of homeopathic doc, as on feb 5th I am donating kidney to hubby, so guess dwp think if I am fit enough to do that I must be ok, just because my internal organs work, doesn't change the effects of the fibre, alternative to donation just not an option. will let you know how it goes, not sure how long it will take them to let me know.
