Hi Holly, My fibro started in my legs, ankles, feet and calves many years ago but I just didn't know what it was. I have found over this last three or four years, that with each new flare up mine gets worse and it has spread through-out my body now but I was only diagnosed about a year ago. x
My brother lives in USA he was telling me a while ago, that the trigger test is been looked at again, (he put it better than that but my foggy brain can't remember) as not every one with Fibro has the 18 trigger points, but still have fibro, so I think they are looking at a better way to diagnose it. I didn't have many of the trigger points but still diagnosed.
I don't know if that makes any sense even to me
I have most of the trigger points, but most of my problems are from the waist down.
Thanks everyone. It can be so confusing. I feel myself what I have got is very much like fybromyalgia. My nerves feels over sensitive if that makes sense. I get pain, muscle twitching, burning, muscle contracting and fatigue. I also feel like I have electric currents in my feet and legs. Hope I am not waffling on too much. Thanks for the reply.
Morning Holly, just seen your post, it sounds to me you defo have fibro, it moves around, I was diagnosed as having it in all four quadrants, I feel our biggest task is to learn to accept it, once you've done that life becomes a little more bearable, ....hoping you a fairly good day....hugs...Deexx
Thanks for the advice cookie. Have a good weekend
Hi. Mine started in my hips and I also kept wondering whether the diagnosis was right. Had bursitis type pain but treatment didn't help. I wrote every ache and pain down for Dr. Head to toe. Helped with diagnosis he said. Some pressure points more obvious, like inside of knees. Get Fibromyalgia for Idiots if you want a book that's helped me. All the best. Soft hugs
