hi missinsomuchpain72, I'm glad you've joined us. like you I'm on morphine several times a day but am still in significant pain and it affects my severe depression and post traumatic stress. I have fibromyalgia and lymphedema so am quite swollen and very sore. It does get me down, especially as there is also so much stress around me right now, not least because I've got a disabled daughter to look after too but here is somewhere where there is always someone to listen to you and in return you can be supportive of others. Take care :-)

Morning Moonstonebright lovely handle I understand particularly well how you are suffering as I too have fibro and also lymphodema in both legs coupled with a back which is failing with stennosis and bulging discs it is tough I give you a special hug hope it helps. You are right about stress levels and those are the one we need to keep as balanced as we can. Hope you have a good day today :) xgins

Thank you Gins for your kind words and hugs which I return to you. There are other health issues going on for myself and my family which are causing stress at the moment and making things very difficult! My son has Aspergers, my daughter is Autistic and has Spinocerebellar ataxia which is a progressive brain/ mobility disorder which causes pain and balance and walking difficulties and its progression is causing cognitive problems and it is life shortening and she is struggling. we're having a problem with college for her where they haven't provided the support she needs and is required in a legal document. There is a discrimination case which I am currently trying to fight which is making me very unwell and my daughter too. my husband is waiting for MRI results for serious headaches and other worrying neurological symptoms and so things are quite tough at the moment. I'm sorry I've just vented all that at you but I am feeling so alone with it all. Your kindness is greatly appreciated Thank you! hugs and love April x

Hi. I have had my gall bladder removed, believe me, there is nothing to worry about. Just concentrate on feeling how much better you will feel. Good luck. x

Thanks, it's the least of my worries really. Did you have Keyhole surgery? I've got to have an open procedure most likely and stay in hosp for 2 days and then 8 week recovery period. It's that what you had? I'm actually more nervous about the endoscopy x

Bless you sweetie so sorry your in so much pain but you have definately come to the right site everyone on here is in the same boat (so to speak) and completely understand. I have Fribomyalgia and Cervical Spondylosis as well as DISH and moderate to severe depression, it can be very debilitating and incredibly painful I have tried all sorts of meds a lot that I could not take because they did not suit me. I was on Morphine patches which were okay but I slept most of the time so had no life or time with my partner. I have the most wonderful partner and family who have taken the time to learn about my problems, I lost my job due to ill health which is still hard to take considering I have worked full time for over 33 years, brains willing (sometimes) body ain't :) Do you have any family or friends near you? I only ask because the problem with this illness is that we look fine on the outside but a mess on the inside. Please feel free to have a rant and a rave on here do not feel lonely we are all here for you sweetie but you really need to get back to your Doctor if you can and ask for a change in meds it may take a while to find one that suits even just takes the edge off. I spend all of my days lying down even typing this I am lying down, I do however try to move around the house just to keep moving otherwise I stiffen up. Sending fluffy hugs xx

hi and welcome xx

It is an awful situation to be in I know , depression makes pain worse yet the pain you are in makes you depressed a very frustrating circle to be in .

Have to been to the doctors about your mood with it being so low , it is difficult I know when you see no way out and are at an all time low .

You have to stay strong hun , maybe a change of meds might help even if you have tried alot there are lots more combinations out there the good Lord knows how many I have had .

It is worring when you are in alot of pain and they give you meds to help yet the pain is still there I know my lack of understanding about pain did not help so I went to a pain clinic to learn all about it and what can be done to help , have you been to a pain clinic yet ?

Take care and gentle hugs to you ...I am not going to say 'chin up' or 'keep going' because i know how patronising that can be and its no help at all

Hi there, iam so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain.If your pain is that bad then you could ring the out of hours on call g.p or if you cannot wait till he or she comes to see you then it would be best that you call an ambulance.I took myself to a&e one time when my pain was so bad that I felt suicidal and my g.p wouldn't prescribe anything stronger. They were really good and understanding and prescribed a morphine patch. Its a case of trying out different combos of meds as other peeps have said but if you need something stronger urgently then I would advise you to go to the hospital.I really do hope you get some relief soon,Please let me know how you get on x

in reply to missinsomuchpain72

You really should just go to er if the pain is that bad, is it fibromyalgia you have or something else ? . xx
