I have fibro and am looking to start a family, has anybody gone through pregnancy with fibro? I'm a bit worried about not having the drugs

I have jusT been put on gabapentin and so far it is working great, but I don't know if it is safe to use during pregnancy.

hi,i personally would only ever ask your doctor about something like this...to risky to perhaps be given wrong advise,no matter how well intended it is ...x

yes just change pet...they are there to help us...who told you that you have fibromyalgia? and its stupid when people say it doesn't exist,as it literally means...fybro is tissue and tendons etc and myalgia is pain!...not rocket science x

It was a rheumatologist, they tested me for arthritis etc and basically ended up with the diagnoses of fibro.

plus don't be fobbed off with everything being flippin fibro...I couldn't keep awake, and was having migranes 3-4 times a week turns out it was my thyroid, underactive and low white blood cell count! so don't let anyone clump symptoms to fibro...I told my doctor that if I came in and said my leg had gone black and dropped of you would say oh yes that's your fibro...he laughed his head off xx

i came off tramadol, good for pain also good for giving you migraines! ...was advised by pharmacist [it was weekend and docs were closed and id had migraine for 5 days] to come off tramadol and start VITB complex as this would help with energy levels...was going to docs after weekend and he said that it was fine, and gave me topimax to be taken one at night..and I haven't had a migraine in 8 weeks now and energy levels have risen..so really pleased xx

When I found out I was pregnant my Dr took me off everything bar paracetamol to begin with.

By the end I was on codeine, morphine, constant antibiotics and 2 different types of blood pressure pills and still couldn't even take the dogs around the park BUT he still did not put me back on the Clonazepam which I had for sleep and pain as that was worse than being on the pain pills.

I would demand to see a consultant and chronic pain specialist if your doctor is that awful
