I'd say give as much information and detail as you can, that way they can't say you didn't tell them something! The odds are you'll be called for a Work Capability Assessment. When you have your assessment, you are entitled to have a friend/relation present during the assessment and you are ENTITLED to ask for the assessment to be recorded and to have a copy of that recording on CD. I wish I had known this, I took a friend for her WCA, predictably the result was that these miracle workers decided she was cured and fit to work. When we asked for a copy of the report (again you're entitled to a copy) it wasn't entirely accurate! If nothing else it will cost ATOS money and if enough people do this it will screw up their profit margin.

i had to go thru this in 2005 or 2007 attended medical and Atos person twisted around everything I said I couldn't do to I could do .and scored me zero points.ddint find out til my IB didnt go into my bank account.then went thru ordeal (as everyhting is fro me)of tribunal and scored somehtin like 24 points.my opinion as I was certified as unfit for work back then and my conditions have got progressively worse then I am hardly likely to be fit for work now.(this goes fro all people IN THE SAME POSITION AS ME)how much are they costing to do all of this.

I was quite lucky really, I was placed in the WRA group so wrote my appeal which was of course turned down and was waiting for a tribunal. When I turned up at the Jobcentre for my first WRA interview, I saw a young lady who must realise she works for a government department experimenting with the system and getting it badly wrong. As soon as she saw me hobble over she asked my age; when I told her I was 61 she told me to apply for pension credit, that way I wouldn't be claiming ESA and wouldn't need to see Atos again or be called to the Jobcentre for interviews. Only thing I need to worry about now is my DLA, but seeing as they wrongly assessed my DLA using my WCA report I reckon I'd have a very good case if they turned it down next time. Like everything involving government departments I ALWAYS keep letters or copies of them, just in case they try to change their mind.

I when they stopped my money last time at the click of a finger(right expression??)they messed up myincome support as it was then because they misspelt myname and it wasn't til ii got to thejobcentre they realsied the error and refused to amend it there and sais thye had to go back to the beginning and start again with my correct name claiming the computer would not allow them to change it there na d then and lef tme without any money coming in thru their cock up.
