Have just found this site, was diagnosed with Fibro Sept 2011 , does anyone have the continual itching , i have pains too

I'm waiting for it to be confirmed that I have fibro but I have all the symptoms of it and my doctor thinks it is. I had the itching and was told by family members it was in my head (like most of the symptoms) but the itching was so bad I would leave my skin red raw and the pain is unbelievable

Hi, I too suffer with itching and know a few other members here who suffer with it too. I take antihistamines and slather cream on, even so there are times when I can't help but scratch it and end up with it bleeding and being a real mess.

Oddly, I did suffer from itching, but it was pre-fibro. I used to get it all over and took antihistamines for it, which helped a bit. I only get itching now when I get very stressed by something, so I avoid that if I can.

It is not in your head! I would scratch in my sleep to point it would bleed, especially my thighs and arms. It's a nightmare and would defo suggest using an antihistamine if you can.

I suffer from itching, it gets so bad I gouge myself drives me nuts, I now have antihistamines on my repeat prescription which do help
