Interesting. I will get very excited if this has some further research and back-up!

Very interesting but as Moffy said more research is needed but hopefully something will come of it

This may turn out to be helpful for a sub-section of the Fibro population, but it does not actually fit with what is known about Fibro generally so IMO is unlikely to be helpful for the majority.

And as the others said, this is initial research only.

Yes, my thermostat is broken too. When I went to see an acupuncturist I was told I had 'damp' which explained why the top half of my body was always hot and the bottom half always cold! To him , my 'broken' thermostat did not seem unusual and when he stuck those needles in me it was like magic. For the 1st time in years my legs felt warm! They stayed like that for a few hours but then returned to their normal cold state. It is only acupuncture that has managed to get any warm feelings into the bottom of my legs naturally. Alas, it became too costly. Living on Benefit, as I do, £30.00 for each appointment was too much for me to keep going regularly. That was a couple of years ago. I have no idea what the charges are now. However, I would highly recommend acupuncture if you get the opportunity to do so. S x

GP practice we were at about 10 years ago had a doc that did acupuncture at the surgery - she was one of the GP's, so cost nothing.

Not sure how to go about searching for one - FPC perhaps? Hope it helps... Frangie x
