It is still a success, at least they didn't find you fit for work, okay it's not the support group but at least you will get some income and should not be subject to a review for around 18 months, so not a bad result at all I would say. Well done.

i agree they must have understood some of what you'd put, reading this I presume you didnt have to go through a medical. i've just received the first brown envelope from dwp saying expect a call and then the questionnaire will be sent out. anxiety levels increased already. well done
That's what I thought, maybe they did listen to the examiner. Do we get a copy of the report from the assessment ? X

To get your copy of either the ESA85 if you had a medical, or ESA85A if you didn't I would write or ring the DWP dealing with your claim, mine were useless and didn't know what I was on about so I wrote a letter asking for a copy and they sent it back about a week later. It's a good idea to keep it as it will help you when you re-apply.
It is a good result overall considering they can stop ESA just as easily as awarding it.
Dont forget to take into account if you live with a partner who earns over a certain amount you may only be able to receive money for 1 year
