I recently completed the form to try and have my award upgraded. The form is almost identical as the one when you first apply, however they did not have an electronic version. I took me a week and a half to complete as I get severe pains in my hands and writing become unreadable, so I hope they can decipher it.

I am sure the purpose of the form is to dissuade us from applying.

I feel so strongly that if you have been awarded and been to 2 tribunals why oh why do we have to do this all over again if the medication and GP and consultants confirm nothing has changed?

A friend of mine had hers a few yrs ago confirmed indefinitely so she never needs to re-new it and she doesn't even use any walking aids. Doesn't need to worry seems unfair

She will still have to reapply for pips won't be until 2015 but she will have to do the form again and if she doesn't use walking aids I think she might struggle getting it with pips

hi,i advise anyone who is filling in these forms to get themselves thr DMG criteria...it has ALL the relevent answeres to ALL questions..and reading it will be a shock! as it is full of pitfalls and twists and it becomes crystal clear why we are refused, again and again...i have used it in my appeal and just at this moment starting part 2,as i have been waiting for DWP to send me the ATOS assesment in type,as the hand written one was illegable!,,if i get refused again they will have to have a flippin good excuse! just a quick example of the thing i mean...CLIENT SAYS NEEDS HELP IN THE NIGHT FOR TOILET NEEDS....REFUSE...AS IF CLIENT GETS A COMMODE CLIENT WONT NEED THE HELP!!!!... there are 114 pages of this!..yet at the begining of DWP form for DLA it clearly states...YOU DONT HAVE TO ACTUALLY HAVE THE HELP TO QUALIFY FOR DLA ONLY IF THE HELP IS NEEDED!! hello! so how is it we have to fight so hard?..i am not going to be beaten on this! i will keep you all informed xxxx

Wots the DMG criteria? I am filling in DLA form. Came immediately after ESA form was sent off. I was lucky I got put in Support group. It really helps to use Benefits and Work site which fibro Action will email you if you ask. Took a month to do ESA form and now have to do DLA, groan. It rapidly increases the pain even with someone helping me.

hi ..the DMG CRITERIA ..is the decision makers guide i found by chance 114 pages of twists and trip wires,,i used every one of there criteria so if they refuse me this time i will want to know why!! as i tick every box, question and ruddy answer!so just sending off my 2nd lot of papers for my appeal..there are 16 pages of errors, contradictions and sheer made up stuff on ATOS report, and i have pulled out all the stops this time, and told them in no uncertain terms what i think!..all done very politely as if you kick off they kick you in the trash can! so im off to post office tomorrow and i will let you know xxx just a quick example..say a person says they need help in the night to go to the toilet the decision makers guide says ..refuse.. as if client got a commode the client wouldnt need help,,x
