Hello Trex123!

I'm currently doing a medicated cycle for FET. I had hoped to do a natural or modified natural cycle but it wasn't to be this time for reasons beyond my control.

I had my 2nd egg collection at the start of November after an early miscarriage at the end of August. I took a few months to recover and found I really needed them more than I thought I did.

I have been taking synarel spray for the last 3 weeks. 2 pumps in the morning, 2 in the evening for just over 2 weeks. I'm now down to 1 pump in the morning and one in the evening and I have been taking 4mg progynova since Sunday. I have to up my dose to 6mg tomorrow and then stop my synarel next week. That I'll apparently continue long after transfer along with crinone gels for progesterone support.

It's a lot to comprehend at times but once you're in it, you're in it! I have found the synarel tough...lots of headaches. The progynova has brought about a new level of tiredness and brain fog but its hard to say which drug is causing which side effect now.

Other than IVF medication, I'm taking B6, folic acid, Vitamin E, omega 3s, magnesium and Vitamin D. I'm trying to reduce stress load at work and at home. I'm having acupuncture and fertility reflexology and prioritising rest, lots of water and lots of protein.

I'm hoping that my transfer date will be confirmed on Friday but should be done by end of March.

I hope you're navigating your journey well! Sending love!

Thank you for sharing thats really helpful. Thank you for going into the detail. I need to look into some of this. 😊

Can i also ask about diet? In particular alcohol and caffeine.

Thank you

In terms of diet, I would consider mine quite healthy. I have increased my protein intake adding a scoop of protein powder to my morning smoothie or drinking it with breakfast. I've also upped fruit/veg intake in the last few months but I don't deny myself a wee treat every evening with a cup of tea. In terms of caffeine, I take a cup of coffee with me to work every day, some days its drained, others I barely touch it. I'm trying to drink at least 2l of water every day too. Diets for all of this can be so overwhelming but I've decided to try my best and not restrict anything to the extremes.

I have never been a big alcohol drinker but I would have a glass of wine every once in a blue moon. Obviously that will stop after transfer (and hopefully for the next 9 months afterwards)!
