TWW Stress

Hello,

I’m currently prepping for my third FET with my new doctor. going for my uterine lining check scan this Thursday and probably schedule the transfer the week after if all is well.

my q is, is there anything I can do differently during this time and the TWW to make the process easier and relaxed?

I started acupuncture last week, taking B12 injection

Should I take walks during the TWW? Continue acupuncture? Light workout (ie pilates) ?

I used to do yoga before my transfers, and it really helped me relax and feel more centered. During the TWW, I also continued with gentle yoga practices, which were super beneficial for managing stress and promoting blood flow to the reproductive organs.

It sounds like you're on the right track with acupuncture and B12 injections! For the TWW, you can definitely continue with gentle activities like walking or light pilates. Just remember to avoid anything too strenuous or high-impact. Just remember to avoid anything too strenuous and prioritize rest when you feel like it. Sending you positive vibes for your upcoming scan and transfer. xx

As previous post says gentle exercise is good for stress levels and ensuring a good blood supply to your womb Try walking -swimming -cycling During 2WW try to keep yourself busy reading - catching up with friends - give yourself a treat every couple of days - bunch of flowers - buy a plant - new book or magazine Continue with healthy diet and drink plenty of fluids and gentle exercise

Good luck with your treatment

Wishing you all the best for your next transfer! My transfer was in the afternoon so I had a medium to light massage done the morning of transfer (approved by my consultant). It really helped me to be relaxed on the day. In terms of exercise, I took it easy for the next 72 hours, except for short gentle walks. I then moved on to gentle yoga and increased the length and speed of my walks over time depending on how my body felt. I mostly felt normal during my 2ww.

I’m not sure about Pilates, as it is generally a core focused exercise. Have a look for Bettina Rae on YouTube. She has yoga routines (as recent as 5 months) tailored to post fresh/FET transfer. I personally enjoyed them.

Of course, check with your clinic first. All the best!

Its not really advice, but this transfer we had sex that morning (because you can't until after a test day for our clinic) and transfer that afternoon, we went to a late lunch/early dinner and ate really well, and then went shopping (approved by my doctor to be up and walking around for several hours after) we got home maybe 7 hours after the transfer watched a movie and went to sleep (he worked the next morning early and I was off the next several days). I stayed pretty active since transfer doing my normal things and trying not to think about it this time. Had some super upsetting news at 6dp that sent my blood pressure skyrocketing so I thought the worst. Took a test the next day and was shocked there was a line (at 4dp it was stark white). So far so good, early scan tomorrow at 5+5 so I'm nervous for that but also excited. All I can maybe advise is not to let it take over if possible. You can live your day to day normal life while the tww goes by. (I definitely didn't do this the first transfer as it consumed me and then with low/slow hcg they made me come in every 2 days for 3 weeks and it was so overwhelming I didn't want to even get more blood drawn in the end of it/more scans etc.) So try to just be yourself and continue on as normal as possible. Hopefully it will fly by for you. Best of luck and all the baby dust 💛
