Hi all, I had my first FET today with a 4AA embryo after my fresh transfer with a 5AA embryo failed in September. As soon as the catheter went into my uterus, I had period-like cramps which then continued for about an hour afterwards. I asked the Nurse before we left the clinic and she said it's probably because the Doctor had a bit of trouble getting the catheter through my cervix and was nothing to worry about. Has anyone else had this and gone on to have a successful transfer?

Hi. Perhaps your uterus just didn’t like beingfouvhed, or you could be brewing a bit of infection. Make sure you drink plenty of water and avoid any constipation. Diane
I can’t remember if I had cramps during transfer but I know I was a little uncomfortable afterwards x If they had issues getting the catheter through your cervix I am sure that this is the reason why. I cramp after a smear & this goes higher although thinner, it still shouldn’t be there ! Wishing you lots of luck x
