I'm 30 and just had our 2nd round of IVF with ICIS. Unfortunately, our first cycle 6 eggs were retrieved and none fertilised. We were devastated, so this time we honestly didn't expect anything. After a complete change of protocol we got 11 eggs, 3 fertilised and one blast (it wasnt top quality but good enough to be transferred). Since the egg collection and starting Utrogestan I've had cramps every day, I'd say these are comparable to my period cramp.
I'm now 6days post 5day embryo transfer and still have the daily cramping which feels very much like a period. Has anyone experienced this before and could this be down to the utrogestan? I am due my blood test on Tuesday but honestly haven't been able to stop expecting my period to arrive.
Thanks for listening

Hi there, cramping can be a very normal symptom following transfer. I don’t have experience with ultrogestan (I was on cyclogest pessaries and estrogen tablets) but I did have cramping for days leading up to my positive test result. Wishing you all the very best! Good luck
I have never had a baby but had 2 positive results, and both times I had more cramping than my negative rounds. I have had cramping from progesterone too though prior to even having transfer so it can cause it. Really hoping you get a positive outcome on Tuesday, sending you lots of luck 🍀 xxx
I think it might be the utrogestan + possible pregnancy? With my positive I had some cramping, although not strong enough to the point I thought my period was coming. I had a much better outcome with utrogestan than cyclogest, so I hope it works for you too! 🥰
Hi , cramping is normal at this stage. I started cramping before the embryo transfer due to cyclogest pessaries and even now it comes and goes and currently 8 weeks pregnant. Best of luck with your journey
I just wanted to say that cramping after a transfer is really common, and it can definitely be caused by the Utrogestan. I know it’s so hard not to overthink every little feeling, especially when it feels like period cramps, but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad. A lot of people feel this way and go on to have a positive outcome. Try to hang in there until your blood test — sending you lots of positive vibes! x
I had lots of cramping post transfer when I was pregnant with my first son. I think with all the added hormones it’s common and doesn’t mean you’re about to get your period. Fingers crossed for you xx
