Something to distract me

I'm home alone with another period here to kick my butt, My boyfriend is at his brother's house for dinner to celebrate a pregnancy announcement, his other brother just had twins, it's all they can't talk about, I'm dreading Christmas, I don't feel like I'll ever be enough for his family.

You’ll get there just try and stay distracted while you get through the tough times. What do you enjoy doing? You could set yourself little challenges each week according to hobbies?

So for me, when I was waiting for a new treatment cycle to start, I enjoy running so I set myself a mileage challenge and focused on that and blinkered myself a bit from the outside world. I surrounded myself with running friends and we just talked about running so it was such a safe haven for me.

I feel for you, I know how all consuming the baby talk can be and it’s agony. My work colleague fell pregnant by mistake while I was going through IVF and BFNs and it was excruciating to have to listen to her dialogue every day. But, it passes and you will get there, just got to hang tough through this bit.

Totally get that Christmas can be a bummer, but you can turn it into a different kind of celebration this year and and focus on good times to come. Good luck xxx

Thanks for reaching out to me, I'm new here so I'm sorry I didn't check for a reply, my head's been everywhere, I guess everyone here has a little of that from time to time, I'm glad to find a place I can say I'm sad and it's okay, I watched some hells kitchen, made me want to cook, I looked for some Christmas recipes, my boyfriend is supporting me, it's just tough, listening to the work girl is awful but you made it through without an office incident so I'm hopeful I won't be throwing sprouts at Christmas .. I'll be with 3 months old twins and a pregnant girl, it's the in-laws too so no place to hide .. I think I'll go to Alton towers or something, a few roller coasters should shake some fun back into me .. I hope your journey is a great one .. xx
