Bleeding after downregulation

Hello all,

I had my Prostap injection 29/10 and got my bleed last Friday to prep for my donor treatment. I’m due my downregulation scan tomorrow and thought my bleed should really stop by now as it did a few days ago but I noticed fresh bleed in my panty liners and feeling of getting my period again … the weird feeling in the tummy and back. Is this something to be concerned about? I.e the downreg might’ve not worked? Why the fresh blood again after my bleeding has ended?

Any comments or advice would be really appreciated xx

Be sure to mention this tomorrow when you attend for your scan - could just be the end of your period The discomfort may be due to constipation - make sure drinking plenty of fluids

I have just had the same thing, they did a hormone blood test to make they at correct level and said I was okay to continue, hope the same for you x They said it does happen in some cases but they don’t know why x

thanks ladies… had my scan today and I’m successfully down regulated. They said sometimes it happens with some women that their lining comes down in a few transitions… nothing to worry about … my lining was nice and thin at 2.7 mm… starting Estradiol today. Xx
