Just continue what your doing - healthy diet - wholesome meals[wholemeal bread/rice/pasta lean protein ] but cut back on sweets and processed meals Add more fruit -green leafy veg and drink plenty of fluids Try to avoid stress - keep talking to OH -try yoga or breathing exercises to meditate Keep taking your folic acid and get plenty of sleep

Good luck with your treatment

Hi,

I followed a doctor from Harvard online that she said, after transfer go from the bed, to the sofa, and from the sofa to a chair and alternate when you get tired. Basically don’t do much the first at least 3 days. That’s what I did, I watched tons of Netflix, drank beetroot juice and pomegranate. Also keep myself warm

Be positive, and good luck on your transfer!

I had sex the night before transfer. Google it & you’ll find a RCT from this year where the results were really in favour of the group who did this. Xx

Sorry it’s 2023. Can’t do harm though?! I was on oestrogen & my scan showed my ovaries were quiet & I hadn’t ovulated so I felt very safe to try this. I’m am pregnant now awaiting my viability scan next week x

Tips I had:

Warm feet = warm uterus

Water reaches the uterus last so drink lots

Gentle 10 mins movement every few hours - couch to make a cuppa/food will do

Avoid stress - cortisol is no good for the embryo or implantation

I tried really hard to be positive. I read a book called The Secret. Positive attracts positive and vice versa. For me fake it till you make it lol! I tried very hard to think only positive thoughts. I did daft things like watching films with babies. Even watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 🐢!!

They tell you to have a full bladder but don’t take that too literally. You need it to be comfortably full - so drink some water an hour before but not too much otherwise it’s so uncomfortable and through the whole thing they’re pressing the scan thing down on your bladder and you’re trying not to wee on the doctor. I remember my first one or two transfers just being dying for a wee - especially if you have to wait longer than planned. Then a nurse told me for my later transfers not to let myself get so bursting - a ‘comfortably full’ bladder is what you’re aiming for.

After the transfer just chill - no stress. It’s the time to relax and put your feet up. Plus don’t obsess over it -,what will be will be. Don’t overanalyse every symptom and google everything. Give yourself some grace . Try to almost forget about it, trust your body and remember to relax x
