Managed to spill 12.5ui of my 225ui does of Gonal F. Its day 5 and following scans and bloods on Friday I’ve been asked to take the Cetrotide injection on Sunday (Day 6).
Should I be worried?
Also today I can really smell the chemicals, even when I touch my stomach I feel like the smell comes off on my hands - is that normal?
Thank you all!

Hi there, I think the pens normally have a buffer in them so you may be able to try and add in the 12.5? Or call your clinic in the morning for reassurance 💜
Brilliant! I’m sure you’ll be grand try not to give yourself more stress.
You said you could feel the chemicals on your skin afterwards, is it a lot or a small drop? I found keeping the skin pinched when needle went in and still whilst removing (slowly) helped get all of the dose but I did often get a little from each still on my skin.
Thank you, obviously stressing about absolutely everything!
Just a tiny droplet on the end when I pull it out - it’s been like that every time. I’ve tried keeping my stomach pinched while a pull it out and also releasing the pinch and then pulling it out and each time there’s been a little droplet. It could be that with each dose my n nausea is increasing and making me more sensitive to smells??
I don’t know 🤷
I hope everything is going as smoothly a possible for you! Xx
Hi, I know what you mean about the smell. I felt it more every day. I did 2 rounds of ivf, and each round I felt nauseous after day 7 or so. It was terrible, so I hope you won’t get it. I hope all goes well for you
I just dial up the additional if needed. I’ve found that holding it for 30 seconds with skin unpinched with cotton wool ball pressure over site just before and while remove needle does the trick. Before this I used to always have a blob escape that panicked me! xx
