Hi girls, hope everyone is doing ok as they navigate this journey. We are looking into testing our frozen embryos, given we have had 3 previous failed FETs. Was wondering what experiences people have had if they have chosen this route? I'm weary given they are frozen, and hoping they refreeze ok 🙏🏻 TIA ✨

PGT-A
Hi. Hope all goes well if you decide to go ahead. Have you had your Fallopian tubes checked for latency, as excess lubrication that can’t drip into the pervis, might drip into the womb and prevent implantation. Good luck. Diane
Hi lovely,
I had 9 embryos in storage which is why I opted for PGT-A (we'd already had 5 failed transfers) I didn't want to transfer any that may have been unable to develop.
They were already frozen so then thawed, biopsied, refrozen, then thawed again for transfer. Only 1 didn't survive the initial thaw, 6 came back normal and 2 were discarded for trisonomy 13.
For our 6th transfer I had steroids and transferred a normal embryo and it stuck.
xx
I had 15 embryos PGD-ed, everything went normal and 11 came back euploid. Trust the process all will go well!it is really wayyy better to transfer embryos that you know are viable, the chances are way way higher.
Do you mind me asking how old you were when you did the egg retreaval
Of course you can ask me anything. I was 35, I had 101 ovocytes retrieved and had (still have) many many embryos. I have polysistic ovaries so had an AMH rate of 12 at the time. I am 41 now so I suppose my AMH is way lower but still abnormal. I did my IVF in the US where they have a very very different approach when it comes to Gonal, egg retrieval and number of embryos.
I am getting mine tested - as I’m 38 I was told that I am more likely to have eggs that aren’t viable so I’m all for reducing the miscarriage risk and speeding up the process. Your consultant should be able to reassure you about this though. Good luck!
