IVF protocol with hashimotos

Other factors are considered in the planning of IVF treatment protocol such as age- history and fertility hormone levels - it is not one size fits all . The most important point is that your condition is under control and to maintain an adequate thyroid hormone level Trust you will get some helpful replies from your post

hi there,
I had my first live transfer before discovering I had hashimotos which was unsuccessful, I then had an appointment with an endocrinologist who put me on 25mg of thyroxine daily and monitored my levels, once they got where she was happy I went through with the frozen transfer which was sadly unsuccessful too. I have one frozen embryo left which I hope will be successful in the next round.
I am not sure if you are on medication for hashimotos but my clinic and endocrinologist didn’t think anything else needs to be changed in my treatment because of it (other than the thyroxine).
I hope this is helpful.
Hi, my clinic put me in 25mg of levothyroxine and I’m seeing the endocrinologist on Monday. My clinic don’t test thyroid it was a coincidence that this came up but now I’ve been told the thyroid is important for fertility.
Have your clinic mentioned suppressing your immune system with steroids for hashimotos? Mine brought this up to me but didn’t seem keen on it but have said it’s my choice. I’m willing to try anything to prevent wasting an embryo.
How long did it take before your levels were balanced and was your transfer medicated? X
My clinic tested but said the levels were within normal range to continue with fertility treatment, it was only that I went to see the endocrinologist anyway that it was pulled up, she was surprised I was ever allowed to go through with the first transfer.
It took one month on thyroxine for my levels to even out and the endocrinologist to be happy with me to go ahead with the FET.
No, nothing was mentioned about steroids, although I have been NHS funded, I will see if they mention this in my next consultation which will be privately funded.
The most recent frozen transfer I was on Elleste (5 tablets per day) and cyclogest (3 times per day).
thank you.
My antibodies were high at 1,078 and my TSH was 2.31 which is within guidelines, however in conjunction with my antibodies test she wasn’t happy. My TSH is now 1.38…
Good luck for Monday 🙂
I was concerned by my antibodies being at 223 and have considered having intralipids. Hopefully I’ll be able to get my levels reduced quickly.
