Hi everyone

sorry for the serial posting but since my awful fet Thursday I’ve been feeling a bit low .

its 4 days post transfer and I’ve had no symptoms - I’m taking prontogest daily ,2 cyclogest and vagimfem .

I’ve not had a single symptom apart from the sinking feeling it failed . I know it’s early and I know some ppl get no symptoms ,but I’m still convinced the clinic messed my transfer up.

I know it’s easier said than done, but symptoms, or the lack thereof don’t always tell the full story. Every body responds differently, and it’s still very early days. It’s understandable to worry about how the transfer went, but try to trust that your clinic did everything they could to give you the best chance. Hoping that everything goes well for you! Good luck. x

It’s more common to have no symptoms at this stage. You’re not even at the stage of a missed period if this was a natural cycle. People who do report symptoms are often just reporting the side effects of the meds which are the same as early pregnancy symptoms

I’ve been there though with a terrible transfer experience and it’s really hard to shake the worry. I found acupuncture and mindfulness really helpful in the two week wait.

Thank you for your kind words .. my acupuncturist is on holiday I saw her the day before and day of transfer .

I am traumatised by the fet . It’s our last embryo and I just can’t shake the feeling it’s not right xx

hello!! Means nothing. 29 weeks pregnant here and had no symptoms at all until second trimester and my symptom of choice was heartburn (didn’t know it was that at the time). Your job now is relax and indulge yourself as best as you can until test day. Best of luck

Thank you I’ve had cramps all night and unsure if this is over or if it’s constipation.

I thought I saw the tiniest brown mucus string as well. This is where I got to last time and then the inevitable happened . Thank you for your kind words xxx

Could be the progesterone? The cramps. I promise lovely every pregnancy is so different. I had no symptoms- my TWW went by with me feeling like normal. So much so I flew to Bahrain to watch the F1. I felt nothing. The brown stringy bit could it be from the cervix? A bit of irritation? Brown blood is usually old blood I read somewhere. Also on my transfer day I went for a wee as soon as the transfer was complete and I had a red stringy bit in the loo. TMI but hubby and I were stood looking at it in the loo wondering if we should say a few words. Be kind to yourself today - use it as practice as pregnancy IVF or not is a constant worry. Keep the faith I am cheering you on from the sidelines…

Thank you for being so kind! I don’t think it is I was given so much and have really high levels but my clinic say there’s no threshold . I’m dreading going for a wee now! I’ve only got the cramps today and they kept me up . It was like period pain uncomfortable at times . Went for a walk and they’ve subsided but my tummy feels hot if that makes sense . I have a dull ache by my left hip area as well . It’s like a twinge . Ugh lol! I guess what will be will be . I love you didn’t change your routine the only thing I dropped was the gym xx

Hi, I didn't want to read and not reply. I am also in my 2ww and it is brutal. I am currently 6dp5dt and am having some pretty heavy spotting so I am also convinced I am out also. This was also our last embryo so it just hurts a little more. Im sorry to read your transfer was such a horrible experience. Did you clinic say anything about it? As the other people have said not having symptoms this early doesn't mean anything, I've read people not having symptoms the whole day at through the 2ww and gone onto get BFPs, so it's not over until it's over! I also have a friend who is currently 20weeks pregnant and has had zero symptoms the whole time!!

I wish you all the luck and hope you get a little sign to reassure you soon

Hi thank you for replying . I hope you’re ok . I really hope it’s not over for you . It’s so hard isn’t it! My clinic haven’t replied so I will give them until Tuesday and then I’m going to formally complain. I’m convinced it went wrong and let’s face it the way the man was with me he was never going to admit that . I hate that make you test twice I hate even testing now . Just to see that negative test th heartbreak that comes after .

I’ve saw some stringy brown mucus tiny amount but that’s usually a sign it’s over . It’s probably all the progesterone I’m on holding back bleeding . Xx

I know how you feel, I hate testing. Seeing another negative test but I just feel like I'm waiting for inevitable and in total limbo. I also think the meds are holding off a proper bleed for me but I'm shocked I'm bleeding so early on this cycle. Its torture. Your brown mucus could well be implantation so don't give up hold yet!

I also hope you get some answers from your clinic 💞

Problem is I’m in Kent and they are in London . They aren’t the best help at anytime.

I think I will have to just ride it out and prepare for the inevitable .

Really hope it’s not the end for you and wish you all the best xx

Really sorry about your difficult experience. It's not fair that you had to go through that. It just adds to the anxiety at a time when you're supposed to be relaxing. My FET transfer was painful too, but it was because my bladder wasn't full and for some reason my nurses struggled to find my cervix. The nurses explained that it was going to be painful and they would try their best to minimise the pain. Eventually they managed to go ahead with the procedure. I was kicking myself afterwards for not having a full bladder, but I rested afterwards. Anyway I didn't test early and only tested on the actual test date and it was positive and that was last week. I had cramping pretty much everyday during the 2WW, infact the cramping started a week before transfer which is when I started cyclogest pessaries. Now the cramping comes and goes and yesterday I noticed slight brown discharge on my panty liner. In your case I think the slight discharge could actually be due to implantation so try not to worry. I've heard it's actually common at this stage .Anyway try and find something to distract yourself, I know its easier said than done, for me I ended up taking 2 weeks holiday away from the stress at work and actually binge watched game of thrones from start to finish. I would go for a walk first thing then pretty much did light minimal housework and watched game of thrones. Wishing you all the best of luck in your journey. Xxx

Bless you it’s so hard not to think negatively! One of my embryos got stuck in the catheter at my last transfer and then I had Covid for the first week of the 2ww. I was also using day 6 blastocysts that were lower quality than the two we’d used previously. When the Covid cleared up I had no symptoms of pregnancy. I’m currently 5weeks 6 days pregnant. Things going wrong doesn’t mean you’re out of the running but I completely understand your fear. I’m still in denial despite doing about 20 pregnancy tests xxxx

Oh my gosh that sounds terrible. .i am so pleased you got your BFP! I hope one day I’ll be blessed with a positive test . Transfer was last Thursday and was a 5 day embryo so not even sure what day I am .

Still no symptoms except a little moody which I think is more stress . I had some cramps that felt like period cramps Sunday night it woke me and hip pain . But I think this is constipation I’ve had no sore boobs even with all the progesterone .

And nothing else! Xx

I had hip pain actually now that you mention it. Hopefully this is a good sign! This is the first time I've had a positive and it really blew my mind. I don't have sore boobs either and I'm still registering as pregnant 🤷‍♀️. I'm not even constipated at the moment and you'd think the meds would cause that!!

It was weird it is all gone now . Fingers crossed struggling to stay postive as I am preparing for the negative test xx

If you google "IVF due date calculator Flo" and go on the Flo link you can calculate how pregnant you are technically. If yours was a day 5 blast transferred on August 22nd you'd be 3 weeks and 3 days pregnant now and your baby would be due May 10th 2025.
