We started our ivf journey 4 years ago and have only this year got my husbands ssr completed and now I'm stimming for a freeze all cycle. I have poos and my follicle report on day 8 was 9.5 and 8.5mm size follicles. Continued on my 225 ovaleap and 0.5 ovamex and 2 days later I have and 11, 10 3x 9.5 and lots of 8.5's. My specialist told us to cancel the cycle as I'm not responding. Bit I asked to continue until monday(another3 days).
We have to pay and pick up more meds and I get rescanned on Monday morning. My question is. Can I ask to continue stimming for a few days after this (Monday will be day13) or until they reach the right size. I can't find any info of anyone stimming for longer than 14 days- especially when doc thinks we should stop.
Side note-
Midwife who did the scans said in her experience women with pcos take longer to get the right size of follicle but it does happen (doc didn't agree)

hi, I think I stimmed for 16 days on my first cycle and it was worth it as some of my smaller follicles caught up and had mature eggs. It all depends how big your lead follicles are- you can’t let them get bigger than a certain size otherwise you can lose them, so it’s a balancing act. I would trust your doctor but at the same time tell them that you want to maximise your chances so if there’s any chance that stimming a couple of extra days would get you some more eggs without risking losing the biggest ones; you want to do that. They should explain their rationale for why you can’t if you can’t, then at least you will know why the decision has been made. Good luck!
The doctor wants me to cancel and then start again on higher meds. But yet wouldn't let me heighten my meds now. It's costing us alot on meds already so I feel we should continue now. As no guarantee doing it again on higher meds will work.
I am now on day 16 of stims, may be going up to 18 (just about to find out). I have always gone to at least 15 or 16 days but this is the first time I've gone longer.
I spoke to my consultant about this and they have people go up to 20 days on a regular basis.
My sizes were around yours at the same time and now I have a couple of 16/17, and the rest sitting over 12/14 with 2/3 smaller ones that won't be big enough.
I also asked about losing the lead ones and they said on average the do between 10-15 collections a day and they maybe have 1/2 women a week that lose the lead ones.
I would ask about the reasoning they think it won't progress when you haven't really been stimming for that long.
Have they been taking bloods to check your hormone profile at the same time?
Also have you had any changes in medication during your stims?
