Hi, anyone experienced the above clinics? Both Lister clinic but they have independent lab and own consultants, anyone know the difference? Which one is better for advanced age/low AMH/FC IVF treatment please? Thanks!

hi! I have done IVF at the Lister - Portland. I wouldn’t know the difference between the two but if you have questions regarding the Lister - Portland, feel free to message me directly!

I've been to Lister Chelsea Bridge for testing due to recurrent miscarriage.

I'd recommend our doctor, in so far as he's really personable. However, I did find there was quite a push to have tests I felt were unnecessary, in that they had limited evidence to support taking them and that there was not treatment available should any issue be found.

So, although not for IVF, I'd recommend being really aware of what you want/don't want and why, or you may end up incurring expenses that don't increase your chances of having a baby.

We found the HFEA website really helpful for choosing our clinic. You can see relevant stats and ask them to provide more. Choosing somewhere close was important to me, because of frequency of scans and appointments once you're in treatment.

I really don’t recommend Lister. You’re just a number there. No personalized care. They hand you around to various specialist. I found it really traumatic tbh. I’fe just switched to The Evewell and it’s literally the exact opposite. It’s a small clinic. The doctor does your scan and tests. They truly care which matters in this awful journey.

Interesting to hear about Evewell. We've been thinking about switching if we do a further transfer. At a large clinic in South-East London (due to NHS funding) at the moment and it is very much like you describe about -number not a person and so many, many errors. As we'd only be having an FET, I think we'd pay out for that plus transfer costs to have the better care.

The Evewell has always looked really good to me, so good to hear that's your lived experience too.

hello! I had my treatment at the Lister on Chelsea Bridge Road. Love them all to bits! I had 3 rounds with them. I am 26 weeks now and am having the baby at the Portland hospital which is their affiliated hospital. (HCA group). I chose this clinic as it’s between my home and the office so it was more about convenience than anything else. PM if you need details.

Hi I am with them now. The nurses are great.. BUT .. be prepared for super long wait times - your scan is never on time. Different opinions and you never see a consultant . Personally if my FET fails (i only have 1 after testing) I will move to Evewell. I have found that I am just a number.
