Hi. I’ve known lots of successfu pregnancies and births. The ladies will come back with their stories. Diane
just replied to you on another thread - I have had 2 x open myomectomies and the last one I had 42 fibroids removed and I was pregnant 7 months later (after an FET) and my daughter is now 1.
I had to have a c-section as I ended up with a problem called placenta accreta where the placenta gets stuck to scar tissue in the womb so I was classed as a high risk pregnancy. It was all worth it though! x
Hi there, I had an open myomectomy before I commenced with IVF to remove a fibroid the size of a grapefruit. I then had a total of four egg collections and 2 transfers before I fell pregnant aged 43,
I had a couple of fibroids which grew during pregnancy and got pretty large but my DD grew much faster and while they monitored both fibroids during scans, my pregnancy progressed well. I was even scheduled in for a natural birth at the hospital until we discovered my daughter was breech in the 3rd trimester. I would not be surprised if the fibroids had a role to play in distorting my uterus. Anyhoo, had a successful planned C-section. So the fibroids were nothing more than a mild inconvenience in the end.
All the best.
