7weeks 4 days pregnant but delay in foetus growth.

Hi wonderful people. I am a bit nervous and worried at the same time.

I went for my first viability Scan last week Thursday. It was confirmed that I am 7weeks 4 days pregnant. The sac, the foetus and the heart bit was found but there is a little delay in the growth.

I was reschedule for another Ultrasound this Thursday to monitor the growth.

Has anyone been in such situation and made it through.?

My fear became worse when I started to see very little coffee dry brownish discharge each time I wipe down after urinating and feeling so dizzy. Please has anyone experienced this ? Is it normal? because I am going crazy .

Hi. Wishing you the very best of luck for Thursday. I think the brown discharge is quite normal (I had it too). The nurses told me that it’s just old blood - and no cause for worry unless it’s fresh red blood, accompanied by abdominal cramps x

❤️ I can imaging how worry you must feel....I am no expert but I remember at the begining with my pregnancy that they were changing my due date a few times because of how they were seeing size of the baby.....it might be something to do with that.....they might have calculated that you are further than you actually are.

About the blood, I had an internal hematoma and the first time that I saw all that blood was scary....the advice I was always given was that less blood that with your period is ok, but if you bleed more then you should go to the doctors.

I really hope that soon you can tell us that everything is OK😘

did they say how much delay there was?

With my first pregnancy ours was behind by 3 days and they said 3 days either way was fine, it’s hard to date exactly at that size and they often catch up

I'm so sorry, how nerve-wrecking! My scan showed me being c 4 days behind initially and at the next scan two weeks later (and after a lot of worrying and googling), the foetus was then a day ahead!

I was told that is the scan was abdominal (not internal) than there was a greater margin for error as of course it's hard to measure mms. I also found some reassuring statistics online which showed that the measurements used in different countries nd different practices varied. The mm length I had translated to 6w2d in the UK, but on another chart was more like 6w5d. So there's lots of reasons to be hopeful. Fingrs crossed for you x

I am soaking my bed with tears as I write.I am just coming back from the clinic and it is not a good news.

The heart beat has stopped, as well as the growth. I have been told to stop all medication. I don't know where to start from here. My heart bleeds . I thought my little embryo has come to stay with me😭😭😭

Oh my love, I am so so sorry to hear this. This is truly devastating, I am really aching for you.

There are no words for this right now, just take all the time you need to cry, scream, recover and grieve. Take one moment, one day at a time. Little steps for now, just to get through. I wish you so much strength over these next few days xx

I still remember when I received bad news about my baby....I feel your pain....nothing I can say will make it less painful, but everything you are thinking is valid and normal.....lots lots of love

Hello, not sure I have much to share at the moment because I am in the same boat as you. Just had my 6 week 6 day scan and embryo measured about 5 days behind. She basically warned us to expect the worst, as I suppose she has to do , and we are going back for another scan next week. There was a heartbeat clearly visible and the more I read on here there are lots of posts about embryos catching up by the time of the next scan so fingers crossed for both of us. Hope your symptems aren't too bad, I'm feeling sick a lot but not much apart from that. Really hope this works for all of us in this crazy situation.

Hi, mine has come to an end as the growth has stopped and heartbeat is gone sadly. I still can't believe what has just happened 😭.Do not feel discouraged with my bad news hun because we are different individuals and so our body is. Keep your hope alive. I pray everything goes well with yours soon xx
