Oh gosh, Lexigrace, that is gutting. BUT remember you're still pregnant - you just can't see it. But I know us IVFers need extra extra reassurance, so to miss this first scan is not helpful. Are you UK? Make sure you're signed up with NHS because they're saying to people not to miss their appointments etc. as they're very important, so your 12 week scan would still be on. Although I know something 5 weeks away doesn't really help and will feel like a lifetime. Stay safe xxxx

Hi

Just a thought but if you to your nhs doc you might be able to get a scan via them as the met units at hospitals are still open. Might have to wait till 8 weeks but you don’t know how long you might be waiting private x

Wishing you best of luck xx

To add to this... you could see if there's any other private clinics around that are still open that would do one for you?

Oh god that must be awful. I am 7+1 today but scan isnt booked till tuesday. I am private funded and rang today and they confirmed all is still going ahead. It's been so much harder than the 2ww and annoying me more as most people have theirs 2 weeks after OTD, mines 3 weeks 🙈

I hope you get sorted soon xx

Hi Lexigrace,

You should definitely be able to get a private scan if you don’t mind paying for it. I had one today as we were concerned our hospital one might get postponed. Just have a look on google for something local xx

Hi Lexi

I agree with the suggestion from Sarah83 to try the NHS for a scan.

My sister is a gynaecologist and is currently getting daily updates from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology which are saying it’s important pregnant women stick to their appointments.

I understand our situation is different whilst under private clinic care but I don’t believe there’s anything to stop you from tapping into the NHS system now (Early Pregnancy Units etc) particularly if you’re anxious or worried.

All the best x 💕😘
