Vaginal probiotic prior to FET

Hello ladies, I've seen few post about using vaginal probiotic prior to successful transfer. Sorry for daft question but how were you taking them? I've seen vaginal pessaries or oral tablets and not sure which on I should tried. Also were any of you taking them daily or like I've seen on canesflor 1 for 6 days and then 1 per week or are you taking them differently?

I will just try anything now if it would help with the outcome of our next FET. I'm going to ask for extra progesterone and maybe embryo glue too.

Hi Glaedy. Why not have a word with your clinic and see what they recommend. Good luck. Diane

I am using optibac women every day for three weeks before transfer before breakfast. I also my clinic as well and they said it’s fine I can take. But you could ask your clinic too about it. But yes lots of ladies said it helps after taking this they get successful transfer mean they fall pregnant. So I am hopping best too IA K! Going in few days for transfer IA K!

You can’t get canedflor anymore as it’s been discontinued. I used it twice and used it every day for 10 days before transfer but still BFN. I started oral probiotics a month before my 5th transfer then switched to optibac before my 7th and successful transfer.

Who knows what actually made a difference! But I totally understand trying anything and everything! I did feel that an oral probiotic made my period hormonal changes less prominent though. Good luck 🍀

I imagine you’re talking about probiotic, not prebiotics? A good way to know if you need them would be to have a vaginal microbiome test, this will let you know if you have a balance of the right flora. My fertility nutritionist recommended one from Invivo, it was very detailed and helpful. I am on oral probiotics from Bio.me called Femme V, and they have definitely changed my results for the better x

Hi! I took both oral probiotics (Biogaia) and vaginal ones (Canesfloor for 10 days in the run up to my FET). I know Canesfloor seems to be discontinued but you can buy European vaginal probiotics on ebay. I have used Floragyn in the past. Very best of luck with your transfer! I hope you get a sticky one :)
