after 3 failed transfers (5 embryos) in the past 5 months we had an appointment at LWC implantation clinic today, we had huge hopes for the appointment and left feeling hugely defeated.
we are going to do another egg collection hopefully after my next period. But really unsure where to go from there, potentially test the embryos.
The lady today was totally against ERA, EMMA, ALICE tests - I need to find the bad reports these have had, does anyone have advice? She said they do MLI tests, this sounds very similar but the biopsy is sent to France.
I just feel so very desperate at this point. We have even spoke about surrogates - not even sure how this works in the UK.
Not sure what I’m looking for here, but any advice would be great. X

Sorry to hear this, is so stressful trying to decide what to do.
I had 5 failed FETs before success with steroids for high natural killer cells. Have you talked about your immune profile at all?
ERA etc has a red flag at the HFEA but I had it done and it showed I needed and extra 24 hours of progesterone before transfer - I do think this helped contribute to our BFP…
Is it possible to move clinics if you’re not happy?
Took me 7 transfers with 10 embryos to get by BFP. No issues using double donor. My clinic are also against ERA EMMA ALICE and their reasoning made perfect sense to me. What worked for me was Bondi protocol - Prednisolone and Clexane and a modified natural FET X
Hi, firstly I’m really sorry to hear about your failed cycles. if you are on Instagram you should follow drtimchild he is on the HFEA board and recorded an Instagram live a couple months ago on recurrent implantation failure. He talks about the ERA etc testing and also refers to a report by ESHRE on add ons. Definitely worth watching.
Have you had your tubes checked for fluid? I had three rounds with my first clinic who didn’t detect hydrosalpinx. I had them checked by a private gynaecologist after the third failed transfer and he picked it up. I had a laparoscopy to definitively confirm and they removed both tubes.
Not sure or your age, but I had my last round of egg collections when I was 38/39 and so had my embryos PGTA tested.
In terms of medication I’ve been on utrogestan, Progynova, Prednisolone, lubion and Inhixa. I also take vitamin D, folic acid and extra folate (as I have a gene mutation).
Some things here you may wish to consider/ask your clinic.
I think the surrogacy thing is a bit extreme. I had a mmc and 3 double transfers to get a live birth so if my transfers were single, that would be like what? 5 failed transfers like yours?Nobody told me anything about surrogacy.
All i am saying is that you most probably don't need a surrogate. Maybe try a different clinic or consult another specialist, i know that you feel crushed right now, i did, too, but i do think it's too early to think about surrogacy.
a fresh egg collection is a fresh start and new chances to make that baby 🤗 you got this! Thins to discuss are your progesterone levels, your thyroid levels. Sticky blood, immune disorders etc. my clinic don’t do the Emma/alce/era either but I looked into having it abroad or in London and you can do that if you want and still stay at your clinic (we ended up not doing it) xx
