Hi ladies, back AGAIN for my 9th FET. You have to laugh or you’ll cry!
Anyway, I have just got back in to exercising the past couple of weeks and decided to go ahead with a transfer this month. I have the provisional date of 23rd for transfer all depending on the lining of my womb. So I’m just wondering if anyone else carried on exercising and their lining was fine for transfer? I really need to get back to feeling in some form of better shape both physically and mentally. So have been enjoying getting back to it. I don’t want to do it though if it will be detrimental to the lining. Everything is a minefield isn’t it 😂
Many thanks, and hope everyone is doing ok 💫

I exercised before my last (5th) transfer and my lining was 'perfect'. I did the same thing for the previous transfer too and had no issues. My doctor says it promotes blood flow to the area which is exactly what we want, so you should be fine. Good luck!
Booda I am exactly the same as you! I’ve recently got right back into exercise after so long (mainly gym classes 3-4 times a week for the past month). I’m due to start my third round of IVF next week and after that will be going for my first attempt at a transfer. Sorry to jump in on this post - I’m also keen to know what others think because I’d love to carry on during cycle but get scared with everything you read online 😅
I indoor cycle, do stairmaster, and strength training. However I scale right back during the TWW though.. I pretty much do nothing but stretching and walking.
Oh nice. I have been going to LBT and pump classes and been trying to assess if they’re too strenuous, but sounds like it could be okay to continue 👀 up until transfer anyway…wish I was brave enough to just walk around the gym and do selected exercises, I tend to find classes less intimidating! Thank you x
I did body pump classes for years, but the class times have changed making it harder to attend 😔. Don't worry about what other people think, just give it a go. I plan my workouts in 12 wk blocks and do my thing. People are really friendly/helpful too. Just the other day I was struggling with my hip thrust set up, and a guy randomly helped.
It's really interesting how we're all so different. I am the opposite and find the classes really intimidating but am quite happy walking around the gym and using (most) of the machines. I wish I could build up the confidence to try a class by myself x x
Good luck to you DLZ, they usually say anything that helps you to feel good mentally is a positive. Hope you have success on your next round, good luck to you xxx
Thanks so much for replying, and sorry for my slow response! I had my scan today and lining with good so the exercise obviously helped! So one more hurdle down for now 💪🏻 xxx
I don’t have any advice to your question but I just had to reply cause after 7 transfers for me your opening line I just totally can relate to! Good luck with your transfer x
Thanks Doodlebug! I hope it’s all progressing nicely for you and you’re enjoying the moment as much as possible 💞. Haha it’s so true though isn’t it xxx
Thanks Glaedy, I think mine was actually improved today compared to normal! So that’s good news. Thanks for the info. I did read it I’m just terrible at getting round to replying 🫣 xxx
I was always told by my consultant that exercise before transfer for FET was absolutely fine. Gets the blood moving. And the positive endorphins too. Will you be on protogest again? Eek - not a terribly nice injection but one which can be super helpful. Wishing you luck, I know it's not easy x x
Thanks so much for the reply skittles! I’m so rubbish at replying myself, I’m always so busy! They’ve said I may well need it but going to wait til my day 3 bloods and go from there. Just to avoid it if possible haha. And I’m not complaining. It wasn’t too bad but I only had 4 injections and I still felt twinges there for 2 months afterwards! The exercise must have been good as my lining was 9mm. Hope all is going well with you 🫶 xxx
