We've never done DNA fragmentation, but there's plenty of research on it. The best thing is to do some research yourselves and work out what's best for you. Also, I don't think you're allowed to put individuals names on here (before you get told off!). Good luck x

Sorry you’re facing this. Maybe try explaining how others do have results that mean they are not advised further tests and referrals so it isn’t a money making exercise?

It’s normal to feel hurt, guilty, and want to be in denial if we find there is something going on with us contributing to our infertility as a couple. He might just need to be angry tonight if he’s just processing and hurt.

Maybe listening to a man’s perspective is useful if he’s willing podcasts.apple.com/gb/podca...

Toby Trice is a racecar driver and had high frag found after multiple rounds failed ivf, despite normal semen analysis, varicocele was fixed by JR who is pretty much only reproductive urologist in UK and they then conceived.

Sorry to hear this ❣️ perhaps he just needs time to process it and do his own reading/research on the topic, on the plus side... There are things that can be done to help reduce and resolve it so it's not 'unfixable' xx

Thanks for your replies everyone - He is starting to admit it now but still refusing to see a urologist - spoke to CRGH today who have just suggested IMSI.

Hi. I just saw your post. I have heard good things about Jonathan Ramsey. IMSI or even pimsi is the way forward. High Dna fragmentation can be caused by diet, bad flu virus/Covid, hot baths/saunas, caffeine, alcohol and sugary foods. Wheatgrass has been proven to improve dna fragmentation but 30x2 portions a day would be needed for about 2-3 months. Is your husband taking all supplements from It Starts with the egg? Another good thing is eating avocados, lycopene rich foods like grapefruits, watermelon and tomato-based foods. In fact, my husband took lycopene and l’carnitine as well as Nordic DHA . Wild salmon twice a week is good. Also no soya in foods especially chocolate. I made sure my husband cut caffeine down to one cup of tea a day or coffee which was difficult. He did have a morphology issue, however which did improve with good diet and supplements.
